Haha now I have spent several minutes (10?) to come up with something good, but I keep typing things that would break forum rules so.. Here's what I've ended up with: It does have the same focal length but shorter reach at 1:1 ![]() Edit: Thanks for ID! Edited by cyprinoid on 05-04-2010 22:19 Hyperbolizer |

This Forum has Rules ...now you tell me.Well you be very gentle with the manual focus, make sure you get any dust on it blown off, and ensure to put the cap back on when not in use. Should give good service for a long time. ![]() Roger ![]() |

Has anyone done a key to flies with a shiny blue-green abdomen? |

Mark Do you mean a key that helps you separate the metallic species in Muscidae from Calliphoridae from Tachinidae? Susan |

Muscidae - no row of setae on the meron (aka fan of hypopleural bristles) and the bend in the M vein is rounded not sharp. Tachinidae - has a sharp bend in M and a post scutellum. Calliphoridae - has a sharp bend in M, a row of setae on the meron but no post-scutellum. For good illustrations of the setae on the meron see http://www.dipter...ad_id=8790 For a good picture of a post-scutellum see http://www.dipter...ad_id=8803 Susan |
