Beautiful fly. I had to think about a Minettia inusta! I never collected this species myself. It is indeed a very pretty fly.

True, Stephen, reading Lauxaniidae, I stopped being critical. I just looked at the wing....and think M. inusta. I don't know Pallopteridae well, let`s wait for the specialists and let them decide which Palloptera it is.

Yes Pallopteridae. Lauxaniidae have wings without costal break. Looks like Palloptera quinquemaculata to me.

Thanks a lot, with that picture of the ovipositor can you be sure it is a female of Palloptera quinquemaculata (or just looks like quinquemaculata) ?

Yes it is Palloptera quinquemaculata . So Pallopteridae, not Lauxaniidae.
