Hello When i read this post http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?forum_id=5&thread_id=2781 I think that this big fly is also a Sarcophagidae species, perheaps Sarcophaga carnaria a fly very common in my country (NE of France near Metz Thank you Louis lweit attached the following image: ![]() [108.23Kb] |

Both flies are males of Sarcophaga (Sarcophaga) with 4 post-DC and marginalia on T3, the second visible tergite. Any more detailed identification only possible with genitalic details. Jan Velterop, Enschede NL |
