Can't be a Tachinid (arista is plumose, head profile very Calliphorid-like),
must be a Calliphoridae like Bellardia or so.

Does this fly (or better these flies as I think these pictures are from two specimens) have a subscutellum?

I bet it does not as I think this is Calliphoridae.

I also thought this was Calliphoridae - looking at the side aspects I cannot see a subscutellum Smile

Exact Likele, I collected two specimens.
I think that the subscutellum is present.

* parafacialia hairy
* gena very high
* prosternum bare or hairy ?
* and would you mind checking the propleura for any hairs as well ?

Thanks

Theo and forumeurs miles excuses, the previous photos of scutellum are Macquartia.
I correct:
- prosternum bare and yellowish with a black strip in the center
- propleura hairy

Once again I am sorry.

Here is the good picture

You just saved my .ss

Postscutellum is not swollen, so it is, indeed, a Calliphorid

Luckily I didn't have time this week to think more on this problem.
