Dear all; Enclosed a Conopidae from spanish mountains (Portugal border, ~ 600m, beginning of August) In my search I was focusing for characteristic white spots on Abdomen and Thorax but found nothing .. Maybe a Conops spec? There is very few Bombus around, so probably host is Vespa spec or any Orthoptera... Could someone give hints? Thanks for help; Norbert. Physocephala female - one of the taxonomicall very difficult species even if you would have the specimen at hand. Jens-Hermann |
