Many different Drosophila sp were attracted to sap of a tree, which attracted the Periscelis sp posted a few month ago. Can this be identified? Abdomen not clearly visible so I go no further than sp. quinaria group.

Thx Paul for the id. Can you specify what quinaria group is? There is no D. quinaria known. Which species belong to it?

It is the group with phalerata, kuntzei, limabta, etc. that has fungus feeding larvae. I think quinaria itself is a Nearctic species.
