Is this a Robber Fly? What is the scientific name and why was it feeding on pollen? Any help will be appreciated.

no. It is a Bombyliidae. It needs food to its metabolism. ![]() |

Thank you Jorge! I always thought it was a Robber Fly and that was why I was puzzled by it feeding on pollen (I think Robber Flies only feed on other insects).![]() |
