Some other views, let me know if other angles can help.

Always fun to find something that is interesting to others.

Could it be Phaonia? It reminds me of rufiventris.

Indeed very strainge one....
Nothing seems to fit...
Could you check several things:
Is arista bare or are most hairs broken
Could you look if there are for sure no little golden hairs under scutellum
How is the analvein going
Is there a pd bristle on the hindtibia or also broken
Are there interfrontals present or also broken

One could think that I find pleasure in constantly exhibiting a profound lack of wit.

arista.. long hairs at base short hairs be seen further out
scutellum... I can not see any hairs, maybe if they are so tiny that they can be confused with noise in the pic

You did your best, but i can't make anythink of it..Shock
Some possible yellow / yellowish flies :
Phaonia pallida...but has frontal vitta and occiput more yellow and eyes haired
Thricops diaphanus...has flagellomere dark
Achanthipter rohrelliformis....has 2-3 dc
Phaonia rufiventris...has flagellomere dark
Helina montana....has no prealar

Helina abdominalis !!....has antennae+palpi yellow and flagellomere darkened distally+scutellum and calli yellow+abdomen and legs yellow, .....but i don't know the species

And i can't deny, that the analvein seems very long and the fly has some simulairity with Pegomya species, but with 4 dc ...?.....I don't think

To make a long story.....short
I don't knowGrin
