It looks similar to the fly in my previous post. The colours are different though. I found it in the Limpopo region in SA.

yep. I'd say Stratiomyinae subfamily. It seems a moderated-size species along with two spines on scutellum. |

Should be Odontomyia or a close related genus... this group needs a revision nearly in every part of the world...
