Pale 2mm Drosophilidae

Hello ![]() I found this on a rotting Arisaema tuber which had earlier had some white fungus-like growths around the top on the surface. Approx. 2mm long, date 29th November. Freshly emerged, difficult to say anything about it. Perhaps if you kept the specimen...?

I think it is not belongs to Lauxaniidae according to its sparse antennal arista and vibrasse on mouth margin. ![]() Li Shi rich biodiversity in China. shililauxaniid@aliyun.com. there are lauxaniids with vibrissae.. also with some long rays in arista... |

True, but I have never seen a Lauxanid with a "forked" arista. As far as I can see the fly on the photo has this typical fork
