Hello Erikas, Nice find. I would say that this is lena as the surstyli are angled (not evenly round). I have not seen the species myself, only pollinosa and excisa, so wait for Theo's opinion. |

I have seen lena only once and it is not in my collection, so that is of little help. Supposing Erikas got the genus right, and I have little doubt he did, it is S. excisa in my opinion. You can see very small setulae at the tip of the surstylus, whereas there should have been very long hairs in lena, these would definitely be visible. Moreover, the tip of the cercus is rather acute, whereas it is more blunt in lena. All according to Tschorsnig & Herting. Theo |

Well, two different opinions, while nobody has comaratible material of lena... I am sorry Theo, but definetly lena has more acute tip of cercus according to Tschorsnig & Herting.
