Hi,

I don't think this can be anything else. I have a few pics, mostly females which are lacking in the Gallery.

All taken on 22nd September on Ivy flowers near Lincoln UK, very small flies about 2mm.

Asteia amoena is the only one (at least in our parts of the world) with a white band on the face.
