Hello!
I am guessing this is from the family Chrysopilus, but I fail to determine the species.
It came to the butterfly lamp in the evening, 6 september at my house in Småland, southern Sweden.

Does anyone know what kind of species?

Thanks / Sven

Without taking my keys (too lazy at the moment to run upstairs) I would think this is Chrysopilus aureus...

Hi Andre.

Thanks for your reply.
In fact there has only been one find of Chrysopilus aureus (syn. asiliformis) in the southernmost part of Sweden and that was in the first half of the 19th.Centuary!!

Considering the fact that no finds have been reported for over 150 years I want to be extra careful.

Is it not the case that auerus should have green-grey eyes (on a living individual)? Perhaps you know if this can vary?

Is it possible that there is another species in this genus (family) that has the same characteristics as the one in my picture? I assume that the differences between the species are extremely small.

Best regards,

Sven
