Hello Everyone,

is it possible to identify the exact species of this Gymnosoma fellow?
I found the fly in Germany, Rheinlandpfalz, Koblenz in july 2007.

Perhaps Gymnosoma nudifrons, but for confirmation from one of the specialists.

Perhaps

More likely G. rotundatum.

Anyhow, it is a male, so rather hopeless in general and with this angle in particular.

Sorry to say so, it is an excellent photo from photografic point of view....
