Hi, Smile
Does someone has a clue of the id of this small fly with the red eyes (about 4-5mm) ?
I found it sunning on a fallen tree branch in a local nature reserve, Gent, Belgium on the 15th October.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Jonas,
Thanks so much for the id. of my little fly!
Yes, I am a very regular visitor of the Bourgoyen in Gent and I have found many treasures out there! I don't collect them though, just love to take pictures of all the fascinating creatures that come up on my path..
