They are gateway insects, soon you'll be wallowing in mud to get a photo of the elusive lesser dung flies (Sphaeroceridae). There's no going back, just ask Black or Nikita  Seriously, it's always a pleasure to see someone having genuine interest the these all-but-ignored small creepy-crawlies.
