HI,

I have pics of a female taken on 3 different dates, with two different times on one date so have 4 different shoots. They are confusing me with slightly different colouring, but so far they all seem to fit Empis livida female most.

Location a few miles south of Lincoln UK.

First 4 pics were taken on the same date, two pics each time with one early and one later in the day.

Pics 5&6 of the same animal on 1st July

Pic 7 on 3rd August

Thanks Andre, I don't know why I hadn't spotted it before but I think I was more concerned with one pic not showing the tail end is focus, but the other did. It was the out of focus one I was concentrating on, I even wondered if it had a drop of fluid there, lol.

I suppose the rest fit the bill then, Empis livida females.Grin
