Hi Peter [just as a matter of protocol we normally post different species in different threads - it makes follow-up replies much easier to follow ![]() I don't think that the top photo shows enough (others might be able to do more). The second photo shows a fly from the family Tephritidae - gall formers on certain plants ![]() Manager of the UK Species Inventory in the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity at the Natural History Museum, London. |

Ah thanks Chris. Sorry I just didn't think about it like that. All I can tell of the first is it was very small. About 4mm in length and has big eyes. Very hard to get a good clear shot of something so small |
