Very distinctive across the whole palearctic - there's very little that looks like Prosina siberita They seem to be having a good year here too on some of my local reserves.

Yes, except the Rhamphina I saw in the Pyrennes were like big, black Eurithia sp. with a long proboscis that hinged under the body so they were very easy to spot Quite a nice surprise when I got them home and discovered that they weren't Eurithia though!

Same here. I only discovered Rhamphina while extending its legs, it had 3 + 4 legs ???? actually more like 3 + 3 plus a long proboscis. Big surprise Theo |
