Hi, Might be something in the direction of female Meigenia. No clue about the others you posted... Portuguese fauna is quite exotic for me. |

thanks... so, being a female Meigenia I think it is unreliable the species name just by photos?... or this is not the case?.. |

I think the main problem is that the females of some species can be identified but with a few of the commonest species the females are unidentifiable at the moment so you always have a high chance of owning an "indet" female Meigenia ![]() Manager of the UK Species Inventory in the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity at the Natural History Museum, London. |
