At first glance this one looked like an overgrown Anthmyia. But I think it's rather a Muscidae. Moved about a lot and had a (to me) very strange way of walking: it sort of floated over the surface, legs didn't seem to be moving.
What can it be?

Size: ~9mm
Date: 24 July 2009
Location: On wooden railing around pond (Helsingborg, Sweden)

Thanks!

First idea is very often the best : it is an Anthomyiidae, genus Eustalomyia, close to Anthomyia, but with a brown median vitta through the scutum. I can't count the number of av on hind tibia, but the arista seems short plumose, so it should be Eustalomyia festiva.

Thank you Stephane. Arista is definitely plumose (easier to see in high res.)
