This is a nice habit of F.canicularis, to swarm in living room. I take a plaesure to observe it. During my trip in Morocco in the end of March I had up to 6 specimens swarming in my room.

Thanks for confirmation! Years ago, before we had fly screens in front of most windows, there were often dozens of them flying endless orbits around lamps or other things hanging from the ceiling. Sometimes I am a little bit sad to find only few insects, yet, in the house because of the fly screens. But on the other hand the flies - and much more the mosquitos in autumn - could be a real plague... Now I can read a book at the opened window in summer without looking like a crumble cake later on Wink. To attract nightly flies (and other insects) I often use a UV lamp in the garden.
Best regards,
Jürgen
