Hello,

this asilidae - I hope I recognized the family correctly - is from end of june from an old vineyard near Mayschoß at the Ahr, a small river in western germany.

The most similar flies I found in the gallery where the Choerades species, but I am not sure. What is it? Length was estimated 13mm.

Thanks,
Michael

Hello Nigel,

thank you for your reply. Species seem to be a bit difficult in this genus.
