Many thanks Danny.

I saw Fauna Europaea and in Czech rep. are about 7 species

Choerades dioctriaeformis (Meigen, 1820)
Choerades fimbriata (Meigen, 1820)
Choerades fuliginosa (Panzer, 1798)
Choerades gilva (Linnaeus, 1758)
Choerades ignea (Meigen, 1820)
Choerades marginata (Linnaeus, 1758)
Choerades rufipes (Fallén, 1814)

Is it possible to determinate species from picture?

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
