I thought I was photographing an Asilidae, but it turned out to be a Tabanidae. Oh well! Grin Wing pattern looks Haematopota to me, but the eyes puzzles me. Can anyone give this one some kind of name?

Size: ~10mm
Date: 17 June 2009
Location: On grass by the side of a country dirt road (Helsingborg, Sweden)

Thanks!
