Last year I posted an ID request for this one but the photos I had then weren't very clear. This is a bit better and I hope someone can ID this for me. About 20mm and a slow flyer that mostly stays close to the ground and perches for long periods basking in the sun. Taken in the North Burnett region of Queensland. Au. Thanks guys. Looks like a Bombyliidae. A species near Comptosia??? Maybe David can tell you more. Maybe changing the subject will draw his attention.
