Found in my garden in Mossbank, Shetland Isles, Grid Ref. HU 453754 (For the benefit of Jan Willem).
This looks very similar to one I photographed in Nov. 2008. Is it the same type?

Although the abdomen can't be seen very good, it looks like you are right about this being not Opomyza petrei but O. germinationis. And thanks for the coordinates, that is appreciated!

Sorry I couldn't get a better shot of abdomen..not easy with a neck-brace and a back-brace (following botched flying attempt Frown) at ground level under a Blackcurrant Bush...
