I doubt Sciapus and even Dolichopodidae! The wings (venation and spot) point to Rhagionidae. Might be a male of a Chrysopilus species. Regards, Sundew |

my thinking was based on this: http://diptera.in...d_id=21767 mybe this is the same: http://www.dipter...to_id=1123 can't be sure, green eyes was at my specimen wery distinctive, spoted it with naked eye, but then again mybe at upper link there was to much flash. There are many flies with green eyes... Wing venation is decisive. - On the top of the head, between the eyes, there is the place of the ocelli. |
