Hi,

I have a nice Micropezidae right here, but I don't have keys for it..
So, does anyone knows papers/keys about Micropezidae? I searched for it here on diptera.info but I didn't find anything...

Thanks in advance,
Bye, Jonas

You might find Micropezidae (Diptera) of Czechoslovakia by J. Rohacek and M. Bartak, 1999 of some use, it has a key to the Micropezids of Central Europe which is quite good unless you live in Greece when it misses species as might be expected.

Hi,

thanks for the references!

I found this key, for northwest europe:
De spillebeenvliegen, wortelvliegen en wolzwevers van noordwest europa. authors: van der Goot and van Veen. Jeugdbondsuitgeverij 1996.

In dutch :-)

Bye,
Jonas

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
