This fly looks to me like a tachinid, perhaps Thelaira, but is it really one? Is it possible to id it? I found it in my garden in Bilthoven (Netherlands), sitting on Aegopodium podagraria, remaining in the shade all the time.

About the same size as Eristalis horticola, I think, but more slenderly built. I also measured the leaf on the photo, which gave me approximately 12 mm. Kind regards Menko Vlaardingerbroek |
