Dear Valter,
All Cheilosia would be new to the 'official' Portuguese checklist. So they need to be mentioned in my publication in prep. Therefor I really DO need specimens.
It's a pity you don't collect, because you are the only one I know looking for Syrphidae in the south of Portugal!

@Andre: as i remember well there are some dutch people who has been catching Syrphidae in Portugal some years ago but i don't exactly remember who. maybe Gerard or Laurens remember?

I am changing my opinion, this is certainly not hypena.

This is cf latifrons (and this may be a species complex, which is not cleared yet). Sorry, but you will have to change the title.
