Dear all;

Enclosed a diptera I would identify as Ctenophora. Is this correct and is ID possible?

Found last week in Lower Austria 300moS in my garden.

Thanks for support;

Norbert.

Hi, close, but this is Dictenidia bimaculata. Have a look in the Tipulidae gallery. The two spots on each wing is a good ID character.

Great thanks - I saw Dictenidia in the gallery, but the brown thorax and brown antenna irretated me; my specimn has both in black...

regards;

Norbert.
