Netherlands Krommerade 23 may
Found on the edge of a lake, whit many stones and algeae.
Gerard Pennards is thinking of a Anthomyiidae, but I'm thinking of a Scathophagidae........little confusing fly..

I'd say very confusing fly! I think Gerard is thinking correct,
I think Myopina myopina R.D., Anthomyiidae.
Collect several flies for my if they are still available.

looks a lot like the fly i fotographed a few days ago near the river IJssel, which is identified by tony Irwin as Myopina myopina (Fallén, 1830) as well.

keep going

I know, it is hard job. I hope you discovered, that correct way in this case isn't usual moving of the net along surface? If not yet, take my know-how (in hope to get more Limnophora and Lispe from you): move the net from up to donw, with tip of net in other hand - escaping, flies go exactly in the tip of the net.

Indeed...that's a nice way to collect flies!!, but I saw the fly and it was gone before i could get the net, and 3 hours later.... i saw it again...ha ha
Next time i hope it wil be easyer.
