Hi, Recently I saw this Scathophagid in a nature reserve east of Berlin. Is it possibly Nanna articulata? Thanks for help, Sundew Sundew attached the following image: [153.06Kb] Edited by Sundew on 22-05-2009 21:36 |

Ah - "only" a Scathophaga again. But I just see a recent photo addition of Amaurosoma articulatum (which is said to be a synonym of Nanna articulata) in the left side bar. ID is certainly correct. Now I wonder if http://www.comman...ulata.html really shows that species or if it is also a Scathophaga. After seeing that pic I guessed that my fly could be the same. I'd be glad to learn your opinion! Regards, Sundew |

Dear Sundew, you have good reasons to warn, it is Scathophaga too. Can't name it, sorry. (Entre nous, you can write message to A.Ozerov and get ID ) Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |
