Photo taken today in a butterfly garden after a rainstorm. Body length about 4mm.
Would it be a member of Dolichopodidae?

One more question: would the eye colour varies (e.g. from green to blue) among individuals of the same species?

It happens.

The blueish colour of eyes in Dolichopodidae is often found in Diaphorus.

Request: can you make the images a little smaller in size and attach them to the posts? The fotoc.com server most of the time is veeeeery slow and images in posts often do not load, load incompletely or take ages to load.

Sorry about that, the post has been edited.
Maybe the server is too remote for most readers.

Just fear that too many attachments would overload the forum's server, so I get used to typing "img" tags.Frown

No problems. Actually I prefer uploaded photos because IMG tags are often broken when people move their photos on the other server or the other server changes its link structure Smile I think Paul will back me up on this but the storage on our server has plenty of space as long as everyone follows the guidelines on size and dimensions Smile The only downside is if you have 2 photos to upload but you will see we just add other photos as replies to the original thread Grin

Great photos BTW Smile

The server has ample space to host the images. The server and site speed should not be affected by the large number of attachments. The attachemnts are called directly by name and it is not necessary to browse the whole list of attachments for that. The only one 'suffering' from the large amount of attachments is me, when I have to make the site backups. Wink

And, of course, Chris is right about the broken images because of changes on the remote servers. I can add another reason why links will get broken: The owners of the image het the correct name of their subjects, change the image name and forget to update the link in the thread that originally identifed them.
