Hello! At first I thought of some leafhoppers (Cicadellidae/Typhlocybinae; several yellow species of this size live on beech leaves), but on a closer look these 1.8-2 mm animals turned out to be Chironomids. Is a genus ID possible? Location: northwest Germany.
