Hello! Normally it's hopeless, but this 2.5 mm female Chironomidae was so conspicuously coloured, that I dare to post it. Is at least a genus ID possible? On leaf at beech forest, northwest Germany. I think this is the female of one of the Cricotopus species, Orthocladinae. I hope Tony will be able to corroborate this.
