Meppel, 12-4-09 Forrest, sunlit bark of Fraxinus Theo Zeegers mentioned some days ago the red-tipped scutellum 'diagnostic'? for some species(group), but i can't find it back. Well, there are many Tachinidae with red tipped scutellum, I referred to the extension and vividness of the red colouration (it was Bothria subalpina). This, however, is Smidtia conspersa, see other recent thread. Theo |
