Seen yesterday in my garden...size approx. 5-6mm.
Appears to be standing guard over some highly prized birdshit
Can anyone ID it?

I'd say Fucellia (Anthomyiidae). But I'm no expert.

Cheers Lars..It's probably F.fucorum which I had ID'd by Tony Irwin to family, and Michael Ackland to species, in a post a couple of weeks ago...and I never noticed it was the same. Short term memory ......Kaput Frown.
Regards Roger.
