Hello!

This little fly (4-5mm) was found on 15. March 2009 in Tunisia on the edge of a saltlake.

It is a species of Bombyliidae?

Regards
Andreas

Usia subgenus Micrusia. There is a great diversity in the Magreb, most of them undescribed, cannot see all required features in these photos but i am fairly sure this is an undescribed species. Any specimens?

please post exact locality, ideally L&L

Hello David,
I'am sorry, I'm only a photographer and so, there are no collected specimens.

Exact locality: North of Sebkhet Sidi el Hani;
Google Earth:
B: 35°38'31.78"N
L: 10°25'14.92"E

Will this help?

Thank you!

Regards
Andreas
