An early Spring fly that was resting on a leaf. Can someone please tell me which family? West Virginia forest, USA, 20 March 2009. I didn't measure, but this fly was not tiny, and not big. Thanks so much, Michael! I'll add the family name to the title of the post in case some Anthomyiid fans are out there and missing out on the fun.
