Is a closer ID possible? It is found in reed vegetation, near salt pastures and also freshwater. Location: Yerseke Moer, the Netherlands.

Even with very high quality photos, it's difficult to put a name to most chironomids. I don't think anyone who regularly contributes to the forum is a chironomid expert - I'm certainly not!
