Hi,
Here is a representative of a quite frequent Berlin Platypalpus species. Can it possibly get a name? Seen in last May.
Thanks, Sundew

Hi,

It should be P. notatus (Meigen, 1822) but with Platypalpus we rarely be sure after pics.

This wise statement holds true not only concerning Platypalpus but applies to most of the more difficult taxa that we "collect" but digitally! Nevertheless we amateurs are glad to know what it could be. Wink
Many thanks, Igor, I count on your help with some more Platypalpus species that I have in stock.
Best wishes, Sundew
