Sepedon spinipes?

Hi; today I photographed this fly... Location: Ostend, Belgium, in wetland with much Phragmites australis. Its a Sepedon (I think); but I don't really know the difference between spinipes/speghea.. Is it possible to give ID from this picture? And what are the differences between those two? Many thanks in advance; Bye, Jonas ![]() |

the difference between spinipes/speghea. is easy - S.sphegea has black body. Your fly is indeed S.spinipes Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |
