I think most of Hungary is chalky. And Debrecen is lowland indeed.

So, bovinus is mostly found on chalky grounds and along rivers. It is replaced by sudeticus in peatbogs, pine forests and other more acid environments. Moreover, you have spodopterus in Hungary: I got it in large numbers in de Bukk. Anyway, your info fits. Theo |
