I think the mesonotal pattern is not right for that species.

IN asiliformis, the femora are yellow. However, last pic clearly show dark femora. SO if this is really the same, there must have been some trick with flash. And it is cristatus after all. Theo |

There was no flash, but there were everywhere some sun spots which came through the leaves. Perhaps thus the yellowish shine. Michael |
