Hi together, today (2°C) I found several individuals of this fly sitting on snow . Some hundred meters away there was a rather smelly dungheap. Size: 4,6mm Location: Ehingen S-Germany, border of a forest. I think Spaeroceridae, but I couldnīt see a distinct subcostal break. The area around the crossveins seems slightly tinged (hardly visible at photography) Ralph Sipple attached the following image: ![]() [56.04Kb] Edited by Ralph Sipple on 22-02-2009 22:17 Ralph |

Partly pollinose anepisternum, and do I see a hook-like process at base of hind each femur ? If yes I'd say a male Crumomyia nitida.

Many thanks, Stephane! Iīve just checked it: Anepisternum is as you describe, as well as the hooks at hind femora!
