Hello,

for this ~7mm fly, which I found in July near a forested mountain river in the austrian alps, I even don't have a guess for the family.

What fly is it?

Thanks,
Michael

My guess is Chyliza annulipes, Psilidae.
Stephane.

Thank you for the identification. From the Psilidae I only knew Psila sp. up to this point.

Greetings,
Michael
