The vibrissae are strongly reduced, so it is C. rufifrons.

Interesting, I remembered that you'd said rufifrons lacked vibrissae but when I checked Tschorsnig's key it implied rufifrons just had short vibrisae and that it wouldn't have pv bristles on the hind tibia - but this one seemed to have them. Is that just an error in Tschorsnig's key to Cylindromyia?

I don't think you can see the presence/absence of pv on tibia3 in these pics. Which pic are you referring to ?

I thought that the 2 inner bristles on the hind tibia look like pv but you might be right - they could be av Cool I have PhotoShopped it and the bristles certainly seem to pass behind the tibia so they are not ads.
