I photographed some of my Ceratopogonids stored in alcohol and made stack-images: this first one I think may be Dasyhelea sp male. Found on pine trees, botanic garden, Debrecen, Hungary, May 2008.

Hello! Thank you for some new photos of ceratopogonids These two males are Dasyhelea midges, the female - probably also Dasyhelea but I am not sure - diagnostic futures are not good visible. In future if you want to get more information about subgenus/species you should make photos of ventral side of male genitalia.Regards! Patrycja |
